The conference will examine public policy and social/community outcomes and consider what actions can be taken to positively influence the ongoing debate.
There will be over 80 keynote presentations, concurrent sessions, case studies, regional study tours and posters.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals in the public and private sector,” said Mayor Cr John Mitchell.
“We worked hard to secure this specific conference for Geelong because the topics covered are extremely relevant and timely for our city and our vision for the future.”
“The conference will help us identify the trends and drivers for transitioning city centres, and it will also give us the opportunity to show the world our successes so far.”
“It will be a real learning experience for everyone involved, and we particularly hope to see students and future leaders coming along to share their ideas and learn from others’ experiences.”
“This will bring national and worldwide best practice information from around Australia and the world to Geelong.”
“I look forward to listening to some of the speakers and seeing the innovations and strategies that come out of this National Conference,” said Mayor Cr Mitchell.
