How to get here

Less than an hour’s drive from Melbourne’s CBD and Tullamarine Airport along the Princes Freeway, Geelong is beautifully placed with waterfront views of Corio Bay and immediate access to the world famous Great Ocean Road and charming wine growing regions of the Bellarine Peninsula.

By Plane
Flying into the Geelong Otway region has never been easier. The ring road from Melbourne Airport at Tullamarine makes the journey to Geelong much easier as does direct flights into Avalon Airport.

Melbourne International Airport services regular domestic and international flights and is a 55-minute drive from the Great Ocean Road via the Western Ring Road and Princes Freeway to Geelong.

Located just 20 minutes from Geelong, Avalon Airport is situated on the doorstep of the Great Ocean Road, and services flights to and from Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Shuttle bus services operate between Avalon Airport, Melbourne Airport and Geelong and continue further down the Great Ocean Road. Services are coordinated with flight schedules. Three regional airports located in Hamilton, Portland and Warrnambool service smaller aircraft, and flights also run between the three airports and Essendon (a suburb of Melbourne) and between Geelong and Portland. Scenic flights over the Great Ocean Road, Twelve Apostles, Port Fairy and Warrnambool depart from these airports.

By Road
Geelong is only an hour’s drive from the city of Melbourne along the Princes Freeway – with connections through the Western Ring Road and Tullamarine Freeway greatly improving access to
Geelong.

The newly developed Geelong Bypass also provides easy access to the Great Ocean Road. All major car rental companies are represented at Avalon Airport and within the Geelong and Great Ocean Road region.

By Train
V/Line operates the regional rail system in Victoria and connects the region at Geelong, Colac and Warrnambool with regular services from Melbourne. For something unique, why not start your conference on the train. Exclusive carriages and trains can be arranged subject to availability.

By Ferry
