Peninsula Searoad Transport

Imagine yourself sitting back and relaxing aboard the
MV Sorrento and MV Queenscliff while taking the Searoad when you are next visiting the Mornington or
Bellarine Peninsulas.

The Queenscliff – Sorrento car ferries cross the Southern end of Port Phillip Bay every day of the year, effectively linking the two sides of the bay between the towns of Queenscliff and Sorrento in a journey that
has become one of Victoria’s most popular touring routes.

The twin-hull vessels are purposely built to operate in all weather conditions. The ferries depart every hour on the hour 7am – 6pm with an extra 7pm trip operating from December 26 until the end of daylight saving. The MV Sorrento is fully equipped to cater for passengers with disabilities, including an internal lift from the vehicle deck to passenger lounge.

You can cover the 40 minute trip drinking coffee in the lounge and watching the spectacular coastline slide past the full length windows, or watch dolphins and take in the fresh air on the observation decks, you can even work on your laptop while sitting in the comfort of the lounge.

Try our Ferry Beach Café situated at the Queenscliff Terminal. It offers spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay, Queenscliff Fort with its famous black “Lighthouse” and Portsea. If you are just wanting a quick snack on the run or wanting to soak up the views over lunch then drop in and indulge.
