Stressed about planning the annual end of year function? Zoom Events have put together 10 Tips to ensure you have a fantastic event.

  1. Send a ‘Save the Date’ out as early as possible.  Follow up quickly with the invite, and send reminders early too.  The venue will want final numbers at least 14 days out.

  2. Having trouble with attendance? Maybe think about a lunch rather than dinner. Depending on your guests they may have evening commitments, Friday afternoon is usually a great option.

  3. Choose the right venue for the demographics of the group. You know your team, depending on the dynamics of the team a brewery tour/ golf day might be the perfect option or it might be a winery tour and a sit down lunch.

  4. BOOK EARLY

  5. If you invite staff and families, then kids need lots of running around space and areas for activities – supervised and safe.  You will also need shade!

  6. Try and book a private room or space at the venue.  Staff socialising, especially after a few drinks, are going to be loud and you don’t want to be told to keep it down.

  7. If you’re giving out annual staff awards, make sure the awards and the presentation is sincere.  No one wants to be laughed at, especially in front of their work peers.

  8. What about giving out presents to staff? The easiest solution is gift cards to major department stores – let them decide what to purchase, and no one is disappointed.

  9. Do you have Santa handing out gifts for the kids? Make sure every single child is accounted for and always have spares! That way no one misses out.

  10. There’s a lot of tiny little details that go into planning your Christmas Party. Don’t forget if you have the planning job, it’s your Christmas party too.

Zoom Events can help you, so get in touch if you need a little bit of an extra hand!

You are all set now to plan the party of the year, we have  the next step sorted for you with "How to plan the perfect christmas party" or if your looking for an activity, we put together "5 of the best christmas party activities".
